Kicking the Doldrums Ass
So, I have lost over
28lbs, I have roughly 30-35lbs left to shift, and I have had a bit of a meander
of late – not going back up to speak of, but not going back down either…….stalemate
of the weight loss variety!
First things first, my
chosen path to slimmitude is Slimming World Extra Easy plan – I do go to a fab
group every week, and I know all the right things to do, and even though in
essence it is a dream of a plan to follow, and, I have seen the success it
brings when you stay within the lines, I still have taken an unscheduled break.
So this week I have
done some things I hope re focus my desires – to be slim and healthy:
-I stayed to group even
though I felt a fraud for not having been on plan all week.
-I climbed Snowden with
my friend and enjoyed the fresh air, pain and exercise. (Given a year ago I
would have struggled to walk the first 100 metres of path I am happy. This year
I have completed the couch to 5k and now run 2-3 days a week, and do Zumba on
Sundays, so my fitness is definitely on the rise)
-I have shopped
slimming world friendly and created a menu for my week.
-I had a stern
conversation with myself about not feeling sorry for myself when I am only
getting the results I deserve for not doing the damn plan!
-I am creating this - a
public blog, to be honest not just with myself but with the very lovely lot of
you, maybe this will help my focus – documenting the ups and downs, thank you
for reading them.
And here I am, on
Snowden J, yes, that’s real cloud in the background, how exciting is
that -
Today so far so good,
breakfast was bear fruit nibbles (strawberries and cherries – yum), a banana,
grapes and a plum.
Lunch Sweet potato frittata
and salad, plus a yogurt.
Dinner veggie sausages
with SW chips, parsnips, carrots and peas. Followed by fruit and a yogurt.
A night night horlicks
light to tuck me in..and an all good on plan day. Day one 100% on plan with no
colouring outside the lines – roll on day two.

Banana

Lamb (all fat removed)
Rice
Peas
Potato
Baked Beans

Bear Fruit Nibbles 4 ½
Yogurt with lunch 2

So, tomorrow brings a
team meeting, which is always a danger point for me – lovely lunches on offer
and usually a meal out – but I will stay on the right road and report back

Today I am proud that I
resisted the cookies, sweets, chocs and cake that was on my desk on my
customers site!! May the force remain with me tomorrow.
