Fragile Fridays and the joys of having a cold (not)

Fragile Fridays followed by Snotty Saturdays….:(

Well Friday was, long. Usually a team day is a day I look forward to, but I am changing roles in a month and a half and feelings are a little fragile and differing about the change – I understand that, I have managed the same small team for over 7 years, so some see it as an opportunity for advancement for themselves which is great, whilst some feel a sense of me abandoning our happy band . Sad and difficult times then, till it all settles.

Needless to say I have had easier work days, and my food was 75-80% on plan (fruit for brekkie, salad and rice for lunch, yogurt with honey for dessert and when I got home curry, rice and veggies…..but I wasn’t making the items so probably more syns than I could work out). Due to this Saturday must be a very perfect 100% back on the wagon day.
I woke up Saturday really really full of headache, self pity and snot…sorry, not pleasant to tell – not a good start then. Also, I had set the alarm on my phone to get us up at 8am as we had a 9.15am appointment to look at and choose some family photos – only I didn’t check that the alarm I set covered the week end, and it didn’t – so we woke up at 8.30 and had to rush around grabbing what we needed and head straight out already running late. So, breakfast was a take away tea….

Photos were lovely, the grown up children looking so smart and happy, can’t wait to get the real pictures a little bit before Christmas :) So, photos selected we headed to Sainsbury as we didn’t have much going on in our fridge. Lots of shopping added to the SW friendly stuff – so ready for a bang on plan few days.

Once all the goodies were stashed safely out of the doggies way (they were trying to assist whilst this was done), brunch. I had quorn bacon, Linda McCartney sausages, Heinz 5 sorts baked beans, my HEB of brown bread toasted, tomatoes and mushrooms sprinkled with white pepper – just delicious. I washed it down with another tea, thus using the last of my hEA on the milk – oh, and a cuprofen for the banging in my head.
Here it is:

So then a little rest as I really am a wee bit on the poorly side today, then dropped my son to work (as his car has starting issues, another thing to add to the ‘to do’ list next week then), walked the hounds and had another little rest. Many rests this week end me thinks.

Dinner cooked, stew, parsnips and baked potato and green beans, then a yogurt and fruit:

Cheeky glass of wine using my syns, Options during strictly to keep me warm, and my food is done.

Used most of my syns, but didn't over do it or compensate for being a poorly bean :) Hope you had a good week end people.
