A Very Virtuous Feeling

A Very Virtuous Feeling

So, after taking a short break (well nigh on 7 weeks) from carefully following SW, and having had just a lovely Christmas, I was steeled and ready for a less than inspiring weigh in. I had strong words with myself about having had a break and just facing reality then moving forward from there. So, I weighed in tonight, and my gain in the 7 weeks is 4lb. Not a marvellous bit of news, but by no means as bad as it would have been on previous Christmasses alone, without the other break! So I am taking that as a positive thing and today was my first 2014 100% on plan day.

I prepared by organising my shopping to be delivered, less temptation if I don't go into the shop :). I did a meal plan for the week, plus a bit in case of emergencies, and had it all delivered today before I went to group, so that I was committed to a positive week after the anticipated pain of the weigh in today.

I said on my personal Facebook page that I know New Year brings mixed feelings for many, but I genuinely love the sense of renewal it allows - reflection on the good things from the previous year, a line under the bad, and like the whole country is sighing, accepting and facing the next year together with hope and optimism, I hope it felt like that for each of you.

I too had a mixed year last year, and as I had a mild cold and a sore eye to meet 2014  (short version, grit blew in my eye whilst walking the hounds and like a twit I rubbed it, ending up with an eye abrasion and 5 days of antibiotic drops in my eye. No long term damage but not a great day...) - so we avoided busy parties and went for a quite dinner just me and hubby, it was filled with lovely conversation and looking forward to this year. A very Happy New Year to all of you too, of course.

So for my first day on plan, I don't have photos as I am a numpty, but:

Breakfast was strawberries, blueberries and yoghurt with tea - all Free Food.

Lunch homemade Veggie soup, thick and wholesome and also all Free Food.

Dinner Chicken casserole, baked potato, veggies - All Free Food.

I used my syns for a low fat jelly 0.5, a Danio Yoghurt 4, Options 2.5 - Total Syns of 7 - all very lovely.

I failed to have a Healthy B option, not sure how, just didn't happen today.

I'm back at work now, so I have carefully planned tomorrows menu - taking into account my brother coming for dinner and the chance I have to go into the office (in which case I have a mugshot in my hand bag....) - I will take photos then, honest.

May the Force be with you people.
